Provision of Basic Needs
Friday Food Packs
The Friday Food Pack program is designed to support any Tecumseh Student who may not have access to sufficient food/ nutrients over the weekend. Each Friday, eligible students receive a pack filled with easy-to-eat, non-perishable snacks that can help bridge the gap until they return to school on Monday. These packs are put directly into the students lockers/ backpacks, as to not call attention or single any student out.
CLC Locker Room at Tecumseh Middle School
The Locker Room houses new and gently used clothing items to students in need. This program ensures that students have access to essential clothing, ranging from everyday wear to winter gear. By offering a variety of items, including coats, hats, gloves, and regular school attire, this program helps students stay warm during the colder months and feel comfortable and confident throughout the school year.
This program also extends to providing help with uniforms for extracurricular activities. (Ex. Band uniform & shoes.)
Hygiene Items
We also provide hygiene items for all grades as needed. These items include essentials such as toothpaste, soap, deodorant, and other personal care products.
School Supplies
CLC is dedicated to ensuring that all students have the necessary tools for academic success. We will help to provide items from a student's class list, including essentials like backpacks, notebooks, pencils, markers, and paper. By offering these essential items, we strive to support all students' learning experience.
How To Access These Basic Need Items
Do you know a Tecumseh Student in need of the above programs? Any student in need may be referred by reaching out to your student's current Teacher, Counselor, Building Administrator, or directly to a Community Learning Connection Staff Member.
