ACADEMIC SUPPORT
CLC’s commitment to student success spans the entire educational journey, from our littlest learners to future-focused high school graduates. Through innovative programming, dedicated staff, and a belief in every student’s potential, we’re building a brighter future for all

Engaging Middle School Success: 5-8th Academic Coaching: CLC provides academic support through the challenging and ever changing middle school years. Our aim is to empower students who need additional support to flourish. Working side by side with the dedicated team of administrators, counselors and teachers along with data driven assessments students are engaged in various lessons including:

  • Organization
  • Missing Assignment Reporting
  • Motivation
  • Study and Work Habits
  • Planner Use and Prioritization
  • Executive Functioning Skills 
Utilizing these skills students will be ready to engage in their own success. Students receive lessons and specific work help through many outlets including:
  • Individualized Support
  • Weekly Small Group Lunch Lessons
  • Assisting TMS Staff in Study Skills (essential class hour designed to assist in work completion and life long skills) 
  • Test Anxiety School Wide Lesson (Be Kind To Your Mind)
  • NEW After School Tuesday Tutoring Program

Empowering Future Graduates: How CLC Supports Academic Success at THS
At CLC, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. That’s why our Academic Success programming at THS is designed to empower students. Students meet one-on-one with the Graduation Coach to address key areas that influence their academic journey. These sessions cover topics such as:
  • Organization
  • Time Management
  • Prioritization of Assignments
  • School Attendance and Engagement
  • Student Advocacy
  • Communication Skills
This year, we have broadened our scope to include small group skill-building opportunities, ensuring that more students benefit from targeted support. These new offerings include:
  • Understanding and Overcoming Test and Performance Anxiety: 
  • Academic Skills Series
  • After School Tutoring in Conjunction with NHS students
